this is for the sheppard.
she wanted this.
so.. yeah.
here it isss.
DAVID LEVITHAN is pretty much really great. [from what i know, though it isn't a whole lot]
so anything by him really.
'specially:
- Boy Meets Boy
- Are We There Yet
& others [not by david levithan] that look quite good. P.S. these ARE in a particular order... kindof.
- The Perks Of Being A Wallflower - Stephen Chbosky
- Revolution On Canvas: Poetry From The Indie Music Scene - Rich Balling
- No Easy Answers: The Truth Behind Death at Columbine - Brooks Brown
- The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time - Mark Haddon
- The Burn Journals - Brent Ryan
- Pure Sunshine - Brian James
actually.. they're not really in a particular order.
haha. nevermind. :]
mm. and that seems to be all for the moment.
most likely more will be added to this throughout the course of this blog, as theres not many books here, really.
so yeh. whatever.
enjoy;
:] alexa.

*
I want to visit a place.
A place that radiates so much beauty,
it's unseen.
I want to capture it on film.
I want to take the most intriguing pictures,
& then show them off
& hope there is one person who will understand.
*
And if that one person happens to exist,
I'll take them on a journey.
A journey of discovery.
To a place with so much unseen beauty
it kills me to know that people don't acknowledge it.
A place where we'll discover
who we are
where we belong
if we belong.
We'll discover repulsiveness; & how to avoid it.
Just how lucky we are to lay here
boundless, and forgetting the world.
how privileged we are to experience such a thing.
Something as pure and as brilliant as this.
We'll discover how lovely it sounds;
a complex mind, putting words so simply.
All in the stillness of one silent moment.
Where no one says a word.
But the vibe, the energy, is there.
While no one moves.
We'll discover just how exquisite words can be.
and silence just as much.
We'll discover how to see, without speaking.
That not everything needs an explaination.
We'll discover love, and an inevitable fate.
We'll be a minority,
but it's better that way.
We'll discover that this is where we belong;
right here, right now.
Staring up at a mysterious, neverending sky
that is far beyond human comprehension.
Surrounded by belief [&doubt], sweetness [&bitterness]
but most of all, a sense of belonging, and HOPE.
& it's in that moment that we'll discover
the true and UNSEEN BEAUTY of life.
In it's simplest & most beautiful form.
& I couldn't be happier.

so. i've been watching quite a few movies lately.
heres one that i especially liked. :)
It's a story of two love affairs. A father's love for his five sons. And one son's love for his father, a love so strong it compels him to live a lie. That son is Zac Beaulieu, born on the 25th of December 1960, different from all his brothers, but desperate to fit in. During the next 20 years, life takes Zac on a surprising and unexpected journey that ultimately leads him to accept his true nature and, even more importantly, leads his father to love him for who he really is. A mystical fable about a modern-day Christ-like figure, "C.R.A.Z.Y" exudes the beauty, the poetry and the madness of the human spirit in all its contradictions.
MY TAKE:
I thought this film was brilliant, really.only downside to it, was that it was in french and you had to read the captions on bottom, but really IMO, that wasn't bad at all (considering i thought it would be quite annoying). :)
it's a french canadian film. which is nice. :)
it has an 8.3/10 star rating on IMDb. (for those who aren't farmiliar with IMDb, that's pretty excellent)
i absolutely loved how everything was tied together and it all came together in the end. brilliant.
the soundtrack, in my opinion, is excellent. (causing me to say this are songs such as "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" & "The Great Gig In The Sky" by Pink Floyd, "Sympathy for the Devil" by The Rolling Stones and "Space Oddity" by David Bowie. +) IMDb soundtrack listing HERE.
YOU should watch it. :)^Marc-André Grondin as Zachary Beaulieu^
C.R.A.Z.Y. has been called "Pure Cinematic Magic", among all the other amazing comments. Check out more [IMDb] user comments for the film HERE.
